Simon Bachrach

SMBSimon rejoined Chalmers & Co in 1999, having originally started his training with the firm in the 1980s.  In the interim he spent 3 years with a national firm and 13 years with a large regional firm.  He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1986.

Throughout his career Simon has worked with owner managed businesses in a wide range of sectors, mainly corporate but also sole traders and partnerships.  He is the firms audit partner and deals with most of the not for profit organisation clients. His philosophy in work is to provide clients with a first class service, meeting their needs through a personal involvement with them.

Simon was brought up and educated in the Yeovil area.  He is married with one son.  Outside the office Simon has enjoyed a number of sports, having played rugby and sprinted for Somerset in his youth!  He is a qualified football referee but now enjoys watching more than taking part.  He has also run a number of half marathons (slowly) and is eager to break the 2 hour barrier.  He has been a governor at a local secondary school for 8 years, taking an active part in helping the school achieve academy status in 2011.
